Job Summary

Responsible for managing project engineering activities, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery of construction projects, while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining compliance with regulations

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, perform cost control activities, and ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
  • Regularly visit construction sites to oversee progress, resolve issues, and ensure work complies with design and safety standards.
  • Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proper risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment with client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence, and provide regular updates to the project manager.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.
  • Membership with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or a related field within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
