Job Summary
Responsible for managing project engineering activities, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery of construction projects, while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining compliance with regulations
Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, perform cost control activities, and ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
- Regularly visit construction sites to oversee progress, resolve issues, and ensure work complies with design and safety standards.
- Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proper risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment with client requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence, and provide regular updates to the project manager.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Any other duties assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.
- Membership with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or a related field within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
