Job Summary

Responsible to support the Purchasing department by sourcing vendors, processing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchasing operations including sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ensure all purchases meet specified requirements as per Purchase Orders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor supplier delivery schedules to maintain price and quality compliance.
  • Generate necessary documentation and correspondence such as Purchase Orders, Sales Invoices, and Credit Notes.
  • Monitor inventory status and delivery progress.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain accurate records.
  • Support the Purchasing Manager in developing and executing purchasing plans.
  • Prepare purchasing reports and provide analysis for decision-making if necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize procurement processes.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by superiors as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in the construction industry.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE Software).
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of market analysis and cost reduction strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
