Job Summary
Responsible to support the Purchasing department by sourcing vendors, processing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for purchasing operations including sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure all purchases meet specified requirements as per Purchase Orders.
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules to maintain price and quality compliance.
- Generate necessary documentation and correspondence such as Purchase Orders, Sales Invoices, and Credit Notes.
- Monitor inventory status and delivery progress.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain accurate records.
- Support the Purchasing Manager in developing and executing purchasing plans.
- Prepare purchasing reports and provide analysis for decision-making if necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize procurement processes.
- Perform any other duties assigned by superiors as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or its equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in the construction industry.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE Software).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of market analysis and cost reduction strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
