Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generate financial data, compile and submit reports, analyze industry trends, and assess the financial health of the company.

  2. Oversee the finance department's operations and development, including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.

  3. Supervise quarterly and annual account reconciliations, ensure compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow forecasting.

  4. Advise colleagues and executive management on financial decisions.

  5. Document the company’s financial status and forecasts.

  6. Mediate financial issues between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, and investors for amicable resolutions.

  7. Create strategic business plans based on company status and financial forecasts.

  8. Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

  9. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.

  10. Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.

  11. Oversee budget preparation and ensure adherence to the budget.

  12. Implement cost control measures to improve profitability.

  13. Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.

  14. Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.

  15. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and provide strategic financial advice to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or its equivalent.

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.

  • Attended to any professional accounting certification such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) / CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be advantages.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

  • Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JDE Edwards) would be advantages.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in Malaysia
